Welcome to CROP

In 2013, we created a new community organizing effort in the Sacramento Region.  Our goal is to build a powerful organization that serves as a vehicle through which people will create democracy, civic engagement, broader leadership, collaboration, and power to ensure justice and equity for everyone.

We share a set of values that demand that all people be entitled to opportunity and justice.  We believe the majority of our residents are being negatively impacted by public policies related to transportation, housing, education, jobs, and immigration policy. Further, many do not have the power to change these policies and are being denied opportunity. We have created The Capital Region Organizing Project in response to what we value and to what we see in our region.
